Mr. Mark Gallarza
My name is Mark Gallarza and this is my second year at Saint Michael’s. I am very excited to be working with the middle school teaching English. I have been teaching English and history for more than 25 years, primarily in Catholic schools. I have a BA in history from Loyola Marymount University and an MA in history from California State University Los Angeles.
I believe that teachers and students embark upon a journey together each year that always ends well when learning happens. I try to model my teaching after the character of the Oxford Cleric in Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales “who would gladly learn and gladly teach.”
