Hello St. Michael’s School and community. I’m Mr. Casas and this is my second year teaching at St. Michael’s. I’m the second grade homeroom teacher and the athletic director. This year, I will be teaching Social Studies and Science to students in second through fourth year. I’m committed to these positions and my passion for both our Catholic Faith and teaching will contribute to a successful experience. The Catholic school environment is very familiar to me because I graduated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Downey and St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower. My family and I are devoted Catholics.
I’m also a graduate from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Policy, Management, and Planning. Prior to St. Michael’s School, I was the P.E. teacher and girls softball coach at Dolores Mission School in Los Angeles. In addition, I was the 6th grade enrichment coordinator for Kali Hi Education and the sports coordinator for the After School Sports Connection in Los Angeles. I’m excited to extend my love for teaching and coaching to St. Michael’s School. Through optimism and a strong work ethic, I will help every student achieve success.
