Blue Mass & Guardian Angel Awards

St. Michael’s Parish in South Central Los Angeles is becoming a place of hope and transformation despite being located in one of the most violence-plagued police and fire precincts in the United States. It is an example of the healing and growth that can take place when a parish community partners with the police, gang intervention, and fire departments to make the neighborhood a better and safer place for everyone.

The Blue Mass & Guardian Angel Awards gathers citizens, politicians, community leaders, law enforcers, and gang intervention workers together at St. Michael’s to pray for peace and acknowledge efforts made to improve the neighborhood. The Guardian Angel Awards honor those individuals who are working to transform the area.
