My name is Mr. Gallarza and this is my sixth year at St. Michael’s. In addition to teaching English Language Arts, I am also the seventh grade homeroom teacher. I enjoy teaching English to junior high school students. I have been teaching English and history for more than 25 years, primarily in Catholic schools. I have a B.A. in history from Loyola Marymount University and an M.A. in history from California State University Los Angeles.
I believe that teachers and students embark upon a journey together each year that always ends well when learning happens. I try to model my teaching after the character of the Oxford Cleric in Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales “who would gladly learn and gladly teach.” If you need to reach me, please feel free to email me through the Contact Staff & Faculty Page.
